KATHMANDU: 18 Nepalis rescued by the government from conflict-torn Israel in the second phase arrived in India this morning.
Nepal’s Ambassador to India Shanker Sharma received 18 Nepali nationals rescued from Israel at the Delhi Airport.
“We received them at the Delhi Airport and arranged transportation to go back to Nepal,” Ambassador Sharma said on social media.
It should be noted that the Government of Nepal facilitated the rescue of 18 Nepalis from Israel, with the aid of an Indian plane.
According to Foreign Minister NP Saud, the Nepali citizens were brought back from Israel’s Tel Aviv via an Indian rescue flight. Minister Saud also assured that the Nepali embassy in New Delhi would coordinate transportation for the returning individuals, ensuring their safe passage back to Nepal.
It may be noted that as many as 253 Nepali citizens rescued from Israel arrived in Nepal on October 13.
