KATHMANDU: Nepal would compete with the UAE, Bahrain and Yemen of group ‘H’ in the second round of the World Cup.

It should be noted that the Nepali football team entered the second round of the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier by defeating Laos on Tuesday.

Nepal beat Laos 1-0 in the recently held match at the national stadium of Laos.

Manish Dangi made a decisive goal to put Nepal to victory. The goal he made at the 53rd second of the match was decisive.

Manish netted the goal with an assist pass from Anjan Bista.

Nepal and Laos played a 1-1 draw in the first round held in Nepal.
