Lalita Niwas land grab case: Hearing at SC to continue on Wednesday

The Supreme Court (SC) will continue the hearing on the habeas corpus-related petition in connection with the arrestees of the Lalita Niwas Land Grab scam. The hearing, which took place in a division bench consisting of Justices Prakash Kumar Dhungana and Nahakul Subedi, remained inconclusive on Tuesday due to time constraints.

NC live-streams CWC meeting

For the first time in the history of the Nepali Congress (NC), the party has live-streamed its Central Working Committee meeting on Tuesday. Nepali Congress has broadcast live on its Facebook page the meeting which started at the party central office Sanepa.

5,611 people arrested in drug trafficking, and abuse allegation in one year

Police have arrested 5,611 people on the charge of their involvement in drug trafficking and abuse in the fiscal year 2079/80 BS. According to the Narcotics Control Bureau of the Nepal Police, 3,712 cases have been filed against them.

NC General Secy Thapa proposes to add 22 departments in party

Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Thapa has put forward a proposal to add 22 departments in the party. Presenting the action plan at the Central Working Committee Meeting on Tuesday, he proposed 22 departments to reinvigorate the party. General Secretary Thapa also shared that the party is to run ‘Go back to house, make party members’ campaign from August 5 2023 to July 15, 2024.

Gold price up by Rs 300 per tola today

Gold price increased by Rs 300 in the domestic market today. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold has been fixed at Rs. 112,500 per tola and standard gold is traded at Rs 111,950 per tola.
