NC transformation campaign leaders submit 21-point report to central leadership

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) leaders who are running the party transformation campaign have submitted a report to the central leadership.

The central members Madhu Acharya, Govinda Pokharel, and leaders Gururaj Ghimire, Bhupendra Jung Shahi, Ranjit Karna, and others who conducted the transformation campaign tried to submit the report to NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba. However, as the NC President did not give them time, they handed over the report to Central Office Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel.

The Campaign has demanded strict action against the corruption accused.

“The party should adopt the policy ‘the higher the position, the greater the punishment’ against those found guilty by Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority,” the report said.

The report submitted to the NC leadership demands timely reforms in NC arguing that leadership’s failure to address party cadres and supporters’ expectations might lead to party collapse.
