Good governance first precondition for economic transformation: Home Minister Shrestha

KATHMANDU: Minister for Home Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha has said that the government has accorded top priority to maintaining good governance in the country.

Shrestha said, “The government is working to maintain good governance in the country as good governance is the first precondition for socioeconomic transformation.”

Shrestha added that corruption control is needed to ensure good governance.

On the occasion, he said that the country has witnessed socioeconomic transformation after the political change in the country but it could not meet the people’s expectations.
