Fake Bhutanese refugee case: Shamsher Miya and Teknath Rizal to be detained for two days

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has allowed police to detain Haj Committee Chairman Shamsher Miya and Bhutanese leader Teknath Rijal alleged to be involved in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees scam for two more days.

Police have arrested a total of 16 individuals on the issue. They will have to appear in court on Sunday for an extension.

Statements of all the other arrested, besides Miya and Rijal, have been recorded.

Their statements will be recorded tomorrow.
