This, he said, would be a crucial step towards addressing the issue of corruption and promoting transparency in the country.

Responding to lawmakers’ queries at the House of Representatives on Thursday, PM Dahal emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing a range of issues.

He highlighted that besides the investigation into the fake Bhutanese refugees scam, other major controversial incidents, too, would be thoroughly investigated.

The Prime Minister further stated that the government was actively investigating cases related to money laundering and pledged to ensure that those responsible face appropriate consequences for their actions.

Prime Minister Dahal also expressed his determination to combat corruption by stating that, if required, the government would proceed with amending relevant laws.

Acknowledging the detrimental impact of institutional corruption, he emphasized that the nation has reached a challenging point.
