All involved in fake Bhutanese refugees scam will face action: Home Minister Shrestha



KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha has said no one involved in the fake Bhutanese refugees scam could be spared under any pressure and influence.

DPM Shrestha stated that police have been carrying out an investigation into the case and nobody involved will be spared.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu District Court has allowed the accused in the scam to be detained for 3 more days for investigation.

All 14 individuals accused in the fake Bhutanese refugee scam — former Deputy Prime Minister Top Bahadur Rayamazhi, former Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand and others – will remain in custody for another two days.

Meanwhile, the Human Rights and Peace Society had also demanded stern action against all involved in the fake Bhutanese refugees scam and to take transitional justice to logical conclusion by making human rights-friendly act.
