Yala Koseli Ghar comes into operation in Lalitpur

LALITPUR: Lalitpur Metropolitan City has brought Yala Koseli Ghar, a souvenir outlet, into operation for the promotion of handicraft goods inside the metropolis area today.

The Koseli Ghar would be run under the management of the Lalitpur Handicraft Association for the promotion of handicraft goods and the development of tourism areas in the metropolitan city.

At the inauguration of the Koseli Ghar, Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan said the handicraft goods sold by Koseli Ghar should have maintained quality.

“Goods sold by Koseli Ghar should ensure quality. Only after that, it will be appropriate to tag ‘Made in Lalitpur’. We should not make any compromise in quality,” opined Mayor Maharjan.

He added, “There are enough places for tourists to spend their time in Lalitpur. We have been carrying out activities to prolong their stay. We will make arrangements for tourists entering Lalitpur to visit the Yala Koseli Ghar once.”

Saying the Association will have a responsibility to look after the goods to be sold by Yala Koseli Ghar, Association Chair Ramesh Singh expressed commitment not to compromise on quality.

Similarly, the Chief Administrative Officer of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Ganesh Aryal, urged district-based government offices to use handicraft goods including gifts and tokens of love sold by Yala Koseli Ghar.

Lalitpur Metropolitan City has been organizing fairs every Friday and Saturday at its premises to increase the sale of local handicraft goods.
