10-party alliance agrees to go in favor of TRC bill and vote of confidence to Prime Minister Dahal



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the 10-party ruling coalition has decided to move ahead united in favor of the transitional justice management and Truth and Reconciliation Commission-related bills proposed by the government.

According to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’s secretariat sources, the meeting of the ruling coalition held at the Prime Minister’s residence Baluwatar on Saturday evening has also agreed to present the bill in parliament tomorrow (Sunday).

The government has already registered the bill to amend the Commission for Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons and Truth and Reconciliation Act 2071 in the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

Similarly, the meeting has decided to present unanimously in favor of the vote of confidence to be taken by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Monday.

According to sources, there was no discussion about the expansion of the government in today’s meeting.
