Two killed in DIpayal road accident, six injured



DIPAYAL: Two people have died in a road accident that took place at ward no-1 of KI Singh Rural Municipality.

The accident involving a passenger jeep (Supra 0123001 Cha 3329) occurred last night on the way to KI Singh Rural Municipality from Dipayal.

The deceased have been identified as 36-year-old jeep driver Govind Shahi of Ward No. 1 and 41-year-old Dhan Bahadur Tiruwa of Ward No. 2 of the same rural municipality.

They died on the spot, according to Police Inspector Lakshmiraj Joshi at the District Police Office Doti.

Six people were injured in the accident. Of them, Tej Tiruwa,27, Radha Tiruwa,26, of Dumrakot in KI Singh Rural Municipality-1 are reported to be in serious condition.

Similarly, other injured are four-year-old boy Sameer Tiruwa, 23-year-old Lakshmi Tiruwa, 19-year-old Meen Luhar and 24-year-old Suraj Tiruwa of Jarimbhadi in Ward No. 2.

They returned home after minor treatment while the seriously injured are undergoing treatment at Sujung Hospital in Rajpur, police said.
