KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to nominate its candidate for the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR).
The party is yet to finalize the name of the candidate.
A meeting of NC office bearers held at the Dhumbarahi-based residence of party President Sher Bahadur Deuba decided to field its candidate for the Speaker.
A leader of the party said that the candidate will be decided after consultation with the opposition parties.
Meanwhile, the CPN-UML has nominated Devraj Ghimire as a candidate from the ruling coalition.
The voting for the post of a Speaker will be held on Thursday.
