Collective efforts essential to improve economy: Finance Minister Mahat



KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has laid emphasis on the need for collective efforts from all sides as efforts of the government alone would not be possible for the improvement of the country’s economy.

Finance Minister Mahat said the government has expected the support of all to improve the economy.

“Signs of improvement in the country’s economy have started to appear gradually. The initiatives of the government and Finance Ministry are not enough. All should be involved from their respective places for the same”, he mentioned.

The Finance Minister shared, “Let’s work with collective determination in order to improve the economy. The Finance Ministry is ready to remove obstacles.”

The government has been making maximum efforts to improve the economy and positive results have started to appear, he viewed, pointing out the need for the empowerment of women for the socio-economic development of the country.

Sharing that the participation of women would be increased in every sector and their participation has increased in different sectors like health and education after adopting the concept of inclusive development.

Similarly, FEJA Chair Sharmila Thakuri said FEJA was established with the objective of playing a coordinative role in the skill and capacity development of women journalists working in economic beat.
