Shashank Koirala rules out possibility of government change

CHITWAN: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr. Shashank Koirala has categorically ruled out the possibility of a government change at the present moment.

Speaking to the media here today, the NC leader expressed that despite general misunderstandings among the ruling partners, there is currently no likelihood of a government change.

“As far as I am concerned, the government led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ could endure for a full five-year term,” he remarked.

He further emphasized the vital role of a stable government in guiding the nation towards the path of development, stressing that there is no power struggle within the government.

Koirala took a moment to highlight that Dahal is no ordinary figure, asserting that he sees no grounds for the CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) to collaborate in the foreseeable future.

He also shared that in the past, he had hoped the NC would remain in the opposition, underscoring the imperative need for greater unity within the party to preserve its legacy.

Dr. Koirala offered advice to the party leadership, urging them to provide opportunities for the younger generation to assume leadership roles within the party.
