The top leaders of three parties- Prime Minister and CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli- have agreed to convene the Constitutional Council meeting for the appointment of Chief Justice.

Two killed in Dang road mishap

Two persons died in road accident in Dang district today. The deceased have been identified as Sandesh Basnet, 26, and Gopal BK, 17, of Khaira, Ghorahi sub-metropolitan city-11, said Rajan Gautam, Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Dang.

RSP Chair Lamichhane’s driver critically injured after falling down from building roof-top

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane’s driver, Dil Bahadur Thapa (Shambhu) was critically injured after falling down from a three-storey building in Chitwan on Monday morning. Thirty-three-year-old Shambhu, a resident of Bahrabise-3 in Sindhupalchowk, fell down on the ground from his three-storied rented building in Chitwan.

A total of 104 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the past 24 hours in the country.

Nepal sees 99 coronavirus cases in 24 hours, active cases 377

Nepal recorded 104 new cases of coronavirus and one COVID related death in the past 24 hours as of Monday. Out of the confirmed cases, 63 were tested through the RT-PCR method and 41 through the Antigen method.

Kathmandu Valley Air pollution to remain for some more days: MFD

Air pollution across the country including the Kathmandu Valley has gone rampant in the past few days, and the condition is expected to remain for three more days. Wind and rainfall are unlikely on some days, thus resulting in the continuation of atmospheric pollution, said the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
