Martyr’s Memorial League: Friends Club defeats Himalayan Sherpa Club

KATHMANDU: Friends Club has defeated Himalayan Sherpa Club in the match held today under the Martyrs’ Memorial ‘A’ Division League Football Tournament.

In the match held at ANFA complex ground in Satdobato, Lalitpur, Friends Club trounced Himalayan Sherpa Club by 6 goals to zero. For the winning team, Rafik Aminu scored two goals while Amit Tamang, Uttam Rai, Torik Zebrin and Akharbek Ukhtamov scored one each.

This is however only the second victory of Friends Club in the league, which takes them to 8 points. Likewise, Himalayan Sherpa Club has 9 points.

Meanwhile, the match between Three Star Club and Church Boys United ended in a goalless draw.

The two teams shared points in the match held at Chyasal Stadium in Satdobato, Lalitpur.

Following today’s match, both Three Star Club and Church Boys Club have garnered 15 points each from 9 games.
