UML Chair Oli inaugurates 2-month long ‘Mission Grassroots’ campaign



KATHMANDU:  CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Oli has inaugurated the party’s two-month long ‘Mission Grassroots ‘ campaign at a virtual program organized in the party’s central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur on Friday afternoon.

According to UML sources,  the party has launched various programs including , the renewal of party membership, management of committees, training, gatherings, meetings, interaction and updates  from the local levels, identification of two or more line struggle in the party committees among others as the activities to be executed during the campaign.

Central leader, including party vice-chairperson and office beares, have been assigned to conduct and monitor municipal level programs.

Vice Chair Ashtalakshmi Shakya, Secretary Top Bahadur Rayamazhi and leaders Sherdhan Rai, Agni Prasad Kharel, Rajendra Prasad Gautam and Hikmat Karki have been given the responsibility of monitoring the activities in Province-1.

Similarly, Senior Vice Chair Ishwar Pokharel, Secretary Raghuvir Mahaseth, Leaders Guru Prasad Baral, Lalbabu Pandit and Sita Paudel are given the responsibility of Madhes and Vice Chair Surendra Pandey, Secretary Gokarnaraj Bista, Kashinath Adhikari, Raghuji Pant, Krishna Gopal Shrestha and Sher Bahadur Tamang are  given the responsibility of Bagmati.

Likewise, when the Gandaki Province has got Vice Chair Yuvraj Gyawali, Secretary Padmakumari Aryal, leaders Kiran Gurung, Khagraj Adhikari and Thammaya Thapa,  Lumbini Province has got the responsibility of  Vice Chair Ram Bahadur Thapa, Secretary Chabilal Vishwakarma, Bhim Acharya, Rajan Bhattarai and Shivmaya Tumbahamphe to monitor the campaign.

Karnali Province Vice is for Vice Chair Subaschandra Nemwang, Secretary Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai, Bhanubhakta Dhakal, Yamlal Kandel and Gorakh Bahadur Bogati, whereas the Sudurpaschim Province has been assigned to Vice Chair Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Secretary Lekhraj Bhatt, Manichandra Thapa, Binda Pandey and Karna Bahadur Thapa.

Similarly, the responsibility of monitoring and coordination of the special committees has been assigned to General Secretary of the Special Committee Shankar Pokharel,  and Deputy General Secretaries Pradeep Gyawali, Prithvi Subba Gurung, Bishnu Rimal, UML Central Office General Secretary Bhisma Adhikari.
