Samik Badal elected UML-affiliated ANNFSU President



KATHMANDU: Samik Badal has been elected as the President of the All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), the students’ organization of the CPN-UML party.

The voting was held on Thursday at the 23rd National Convention of ANNFSU.

Badal won the presidency in the vote counted last night.

Badal, who is the outgoing General Secretary of ANNFSU, comes from Kavre.

Similarly, Govinda Giri, Dharma Giri, Narayan Gharti and Maryada Bista have been elected as Vice Presidents.

Naresh Rokaya has been elected General Secretary, and Sanjiv Dhital, Sujan Kadariya, Prakash Poudel, Dipesh Prasai, Anjana Siwakoti, Aarti Bhattarai and Bidita Kafle have been elected as Secretaries.

Sangam Aryal has been elected as the treasurer.

A total of 1,517 people voted in the convention.
