NC general secretary Sharma advocates for capable leadership to tackle emerging challenges



GANDAKI: Bishwa Prakash Sharma, the General-Secretary of the Nepali Congress (NC), has underscored the importance of capable leadership within the party to effectively address emerging challenges. Speaking at a welcome program organized by the NC Galkot Town Committee in Baglung district, General-Secretary Sharma emphasized the need for leadership that can navigate the party through new dynamics.

During the event, he discussed the forthcoming national convention scheduled for February 2024, noting that it holds the key to shaping the party’s future trajectory. General-Secretary Sharma expressed optimism that the convention would instill fresh vigor into the party and set a direction that aligns with contemporary challenges.

“The upcoming national convention of the party in February 2024 will provide a new direction and infuse the party with renewed energy,” stated General Secretary Sharma. He stressed the importance of blending traditional values with a fresh confidence, highlighting the necessity for a leadership that can balance historical sentiments with the demands of the present.

General-Secretary Sharma also called for a self-assessment among the people’s representatives elected from the NC. He urged them to address their shortcomings, underlining the significance of party leadership working diligently for the greater benefit of the country and its people.

In his address, General-Secretary Sharma articulated a vision for quality development, emphasizing that progress should not merely be for its own sake but should be purposeful and impactful. As the party gears up for its national convention, the call for capable leadership resonates as a pivotal element in steering the Nepali Congress toward effectively addressing the challenges of the contemporary political landscape.
