KATHMANDU: In a show of unity and support, the Nepal Film Producers Association has rallied behind the demands raised by the team behind ‘Dimag Kharab.’

President Nawal Khadka, following a meeting held today, announced the Association’s unwavering commitment to backing the filmmakers’ cause.

The catalyst for this solidarity was Director Nischal Basnet’s stern warning, delivered via Facebook Live on Wednesday afternoon.

Basnet stated that, unless their demands were met, theaters would cease to screen the movie starting from Friday.

In response to the urgency of the situation, a meeting of the Producers convened on Thursday to deliberate on the matter.

President Khadka statedthat, following discussions with Director Basnet, a collective decision was reached, aligning with the sentiments of the producers as a whole.

The ‘Dimag Kharab’ team has set forth two key conditions: equal screening opportunities for foreign films and a continuous 50 percent share of the revenue.

They have issued a warning that failure to meet these conditions will result in the immediate removal of the movie from theaters, starting tomorrow (Friday).
