Maoist Center to give vote of confidence to Chief Minister Karki

The CPN-Maoist Center is set to give a vote of confidence to Kedar Karki, who assumed the role of Chief Minister in Koshi Province with the support of 39 CPN-UML MPs and 8 Nepali Congress (NC) MPs. During a meeting of the Koshi Province Committee of the Maoist Center held on Monday afternoon, it was concluded that a vote of confidence should be extended to Chief Minister Karki.

Home Minister Shrestha leaves for China for BRI Conference

Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha left for China on Monday, leading a delegation of seven members to participate in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) conference. As a part of the event, Shrestha is set to deliver a ‘keynote speech,’ as confirmed by his secretariat.

Gang rape of girl in Biratnagar, 3 transport workers including a minor arrested

A disturbing case of a 25-year-old girl being subjected to a gang rape has shocked Biratnagar residents. Following swift action, police apprehended three individuals associated with the transport industry for their alleged involvement in the heinous act. According to the victim’s report, the police arrested 43-year-old Tek Bahadur Tamang, 20-year-old Binod Chauhan, and a 16-year-old minor from Sindhuli house of Mithila Vihari Municipality-11 in Dhanusha.

Koshi CM Karki to seek seek vote of confidence before Dashain

Chief Minister of Koshi, Kedar Karki, is geared up to seek a vote of confidence before the Dashain festival. The provincial assembly has been summoned for a session on October 18, aimed at determining the confidence in Karki’s leadership. Earthquake with magnitude 4.8 jolts Sudurpaschim

A seismic event reverberated through the hilly districts of Sudurpaschim Province earlier this morning. Head of the Earthquake Measurement Center Surkhet, Bal Bahadur Tamang, confirmed the occurrence of a 4.8 magnitude earthquake at 9:26 am. The epicenter was pinpointed to Batan, a region in India close to Darchula.
