Earthquake with magnitude 4.8 jolts Sudurpaschim



BAITADI: A seismic event reverberated through the hilly districts of Sudurpaschim Province earlier this morning.

Head of the Earthquake Measurement Center Surkhet, Bal Bahadur Tamang, confirmed the occurrence of a 4.8 magnitude earthquake at 9:26 am.

The epicenter was pinpointed to Batan, a region in India close to Darchula.

Despite the palpable tremors, the Baitadi District Police Office affirmed that no reports of damage have been recorded thus far.
