Chinese army team arriving in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: A team from the Chinese military is arriving in Nepal today.

The team led by Major General Yu En from China’s Tibet Military Command is arriving in Kathmandu.

Krishna Prasad Bhandari, the Spokesperson for the Nepali Army, said that the Chinese military delegation is embarking on a three-day official visit to Kathmandu.

During their stay, the Chinese delegation is scheduled to hold discussions with Chief of Army Staff Prabhuram Sharma and other key officials.

Furthermore, reliable sources indicate that the delegation will also engage with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka, and other high-ranking authorities.

The focal points of these discussions will encompass military cooperation between the two nations, border security matters, and a spectrum of other pertinent issues.
