One dies, two get injured in truck accident in Panchthar



PANCHTHAR: One person died and two more got injured when a moving truck fell off the road in Panchthar.

38-year-old Lakshmi Tamang died when Na 2 Kha 9215 truck carrying cement from Phidim to Taplejung went out of control on the Mechi highway at 7 pm on Sunday.

The truck fell about 50 meters from the road.

The police team led by Police Assistant Inspector Upendra Prasad Yadav from District Police Office Panchthar rescued 45-year-old Parasmani Thapa, the 45-year-old driver and vehicle owner, 31-year-old Jeevan Gadaili and Laxmi Tamang.

Among them, Tamang, who was taken to the hospital after the rescue, was declared dead by the doctor.

District Police Office Panchthar informed that they are being treated at Panchthar Hospital.
