GORKHA: A rare ‘Tame’ pangolin species has been found at Phalate area of Gandaki rural municipality in Gorkha district, today.

The pangolin species is reported to be on the verge of extinction in the world.

Forest Officer of Division Forest Office, Rabi Ananda Gopali said the pangolin was found in a pond near the house of a local Prem Kumar Shrestha.

A team from the Division Forest Office, Gorkha, rescued the pangolin immediately.

Gopali further said the pangolin might have reached the area in search of food.
