Indian tourist falls off the cliff, dies

PANCHTHAR: An Indian tourist who had come on a tour on the occasion of New Year has died after falling off a cliff.

The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Keshav Gurung from Sikkim, India. He fell off the cliff last night.

Gurung, who had come on a visit to Chiwabhanjyang on the Nepal-India border, died as he fell down the cliff near Mewakhola in Yangbarak Rural Municipality-1 while returning home, the District Police Office said.

Gurung had come for a visit to Chiwabhanjyang along with four of his friends. Deputy Superintendent of Police Hari Khatiwada said a team from the District Police Office has reached the incident site for investigation.
