KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is expanding the cabinet for the eighth time today.

He is appointing Nepali Congress leader NP Saud as the Foreign Minister.

The Nepali Congress on Saturday recommended the name of Saud as the Foreign Minister.

Sources claimed that Saud is taking oath today (Sunday) at 3 pm.

As per the agreement in the ruling coalition, the NC has agreed on eight ministries. NC previously sent only four ministers to the cabinet.

Prime Minister Dahal expanded the Cabinet for the seventh time on March 1.

NC vice-president Purna Bahadur Khadka is leading the party in the CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Dahal-led cabinet.

Khadka is the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense, Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat is Finance Minister, Ramesh Rijal is Industry, Commerce and Supply Minister, and Sita Gurung is the Urban Development Minister in the cabinet.
