KATHMANDU: A Nepali national, who fled to UAE after murdering an elderly in Nepal, has been arrested.
Shiv Sharan Chaudhary, 3, of Bhrikuti Municipality-7, Kapilvastu was arrested by Interpol and has been extradited to Nepal.
A red notice was issued by Interpol to arrest Chaudhary.
Chaudhary fled to Dubai after murdering 66-year-old Gangaram Tharu, a resident of Kapilvastu-4 with a weapon on July 23, 2019.
He was arrested from UAE with the help of NCB Abu Dhabi UAE, according to Nepal Police Headquarters.
Police said that a red notice was issued against him on August 30, 2022 by the Interpol General Secretariat.
