Nepal beat UAE to book a berth in WC qualifiers
Nepal defeated the UAE by 9 runs according to Duckworth-Lewis rule to qualify for the 2023 One-day Men’s World Cup qualifiers played at the TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur on Thursday. Chasing a huge target of 311 runs, Nepal scored 269 runs for six wickets in 44 overs, when the umpires stopped the game due to insufficient light following rainfall.
Madhav Nepal to become PM after Prachanda: Bimalendra Nidhi
Nepali Congress (NC) leader Bimalendra Nidhi has claimed that Madhav Kumar Nepal would become the Prime Minister after incumbent Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda. “NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba will become the Prime Minister only after Madhav Nepal,” Nidhi said at a program in Lalitpur, Thursday.
Coronavirus detected again in Sudurpaschim
Coronavirus infection has been detected in Sudurpashcim Province again. Though the infection rare was found zero in the province for the past couple of months, the cases testing positive for the virus are gradually increasing.

DDC increases milk price
The government-owned Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) Lainchaur increased the price of milk from today. The DDC today sent the milk packets with the new prices to the market.
JSP decides to make Ansari as HoR member

Two suspension bridges to be built over Khudi rivulet
Two suspension bridges are to be constructed over the Khudi rivulet in Pokhara metropolis-32. The bridges would be installed to connect the eastern bank of Chautara (Purano Gaun) and Universe Chowk (Rajako Chautari) and Barhasaya Chautara to Malmulghari from eastern bank in the same ward.

Provision of two-year labour permit for foreign employment removed
The government has removed the provision of two-year in issuing labour permit for foreign employment. The provision was removed by a Prime-Ministerial decision, according to the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security.
NIFF 2023 featuring 95 films from 35 countries
As many as 95 films from 35 countries are being screened in the sixth edition of the Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF) that begins in Kathmandu today. Chairperson of the Film Festival KP Pathak said a total of 14 awards will be distributed in seven categories including national, international, short, long, documentary and animated films.
RSP holding joint meeting of office bearers and PP on Friday
The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has called a joint meeting of the party office-bearers and its parliamentary party to reach a decision on the Vice Presidential election. The meeting to be held at 11.30 a.m. at the party office at Basundhara will make a decision regarding which candidate to vote in the Vice Presidential election to be held on Friday.
