NC wishes for lawmaker Bhandari’s health recovery



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has wished for the recovery of its leader and lawmaker Dr Chandra Bhandari’s health condition. Dr Bhandari is the member of House of Representatives (HoR) elected from constituency no 1 of Gulmi.

Issuing a press release on Thursday, Chief Secretary at party office, Krishna Prasad Poudel, wished the health recovery of lawmaker Bhandari who was seriously injured in a gas leak occurred at his resident last night.

Bhandari’s mother Harikala who was also injured seriously in the accident however passed away at Kirtipur Burns Hospital during treatment. The NC expressed deep grief over the passing away of Harikala.

Chief Secretary Poudel informed that hot gas and smoke might have burnt Bhandari’s internal organs, so as per doctors’ prescription, he was taken to the National Burns Centre in Mumbai, India via the Shree Airlines.

The NC observed it lost a senior person with the demise of 86-year-old Harikala who remained active in democratic movement. The party also paid tribute to the late Harikala and extended condolences to the bereaved family members.
