NC leader Bhandari, injured in gas cylinder explosion, flown to Mumbai for treatment

Nepali Congress leader and Member of Parliament (MP) Chandra Bhandari, who was injured in a cooking gas cylinder explosion was flown to Mumbai, India for further treatment. Bhandari sustained burn injuries after a cooking gas caught fire and exploded at his house in Kathmandu Wednesday night.

2 die in Nuwakot bus accident

Two passengers died and 20 others injured in a bus accident in Nuwakot on Thursday afternoon. District Police Office Nuwakot DSP Khagendra Khadka said that two people died in the accident that occurred at Chainpur in Bidur municipality in the district.

Jhapa reports 75 road fatalities in seven months

Seventy-five people died in road accidents in a period of seven months in Jhapa. Till the first seven months of the current fiscal year, the district recorded 457 cases of road accidents with the 75 deaths toll, the District Traffic Police Office, Jhapa said.
