KATHMANDU: Preparations are underway to take Chandra Bhandari, leader of the Nepali Congress (NC) and House of Representative member, who was injured in a cooking gas cylinder explosion, to Mumbai, India for further treatment.
Bhandari sustained burn injuries after a cooking gas caught fire and exploded at his house in Kathmandu last night.
Leader Bhandari and his 86-year-old mother Harikala Bhandari were injured in the incident that took place at the Buddhanagar-based home on Wednesday night.
NC general-secretary Bishwo Prakash Sharma shared this information through his social media network.
Leader Bhandari was elected the HoR member from Gulmi constituency-1 in the last November 20 general election.
