Madhesh govt forms high-level committee to promote good governance



JANAKPURDHAM: The Madhesh Province government has formed a high-level committee to promote good governance while making service delivery and development work effective.

A five-member committee has been formed under the coordination of Nurhari Khatiwada, Secretary of Government Reform and Coordination Division of the Chief Minister’s Office.

The members of the committee include Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Forestry and Tourism, Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Communications and the Deputy Secretary of the Chief Minister’s Office.

The first meeting of the newly-formed Madhesh government decided to form the high-level committee.

Minister Without Portfolio, Saroj Yadav, said that the high-level committee has been given the responsibility to identify the problems in the service delivery in the structures under the state government, and submit suggestions within 15 days to accelerate the work of service and development.
