12 political parties submit applications for NA elections



KATHMANDU: A total of 12 political parties have applied for party registration to participate in the upcoming National Assembly elections.

As of the deadline on December 15, these political entities, including major players like Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, Maoist Centre, Unified Socialist, Janata Samajwadi Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party, Rastriya Janamorcha, and Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party, are now in the queue for scrutiny by the Election Commission.

The elections are scheduled to take place on January 25, marking the culmination of the registration process.

The commission has assured that each application will undergo a thorough investigation to ensure compliance with the election regulations.
