NC holding Central Committee meeting on Dec 28

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) is holding a meeting of its Central Committee on December 28.

The meeting has been prior to the elections for 20 vacant positions in the National Assembly slated for January 25.

In a strategic reshuffling of its agenda, the Nepali Congress, having initially planned a Mahasamiti meeting starting from January 1-4, 2024, opted to postpone the meeting and, instead, convene a central committee meeting.

The rescheduled Mahasamiti meeting is now confirmed to be held at Godavari in Lalitpur, commencing on February 19, 2024.

NC leader Min Biswakarma stated that the postponement of the Mahasamiti meeting was necessitated by the imperative need to prepare for the upcoming National Assembly elections.
