Maoist Center calls meeting of office bearers to discuss pertinent issues



KATHMANDU: The ruling Maoist Center has called a meeting of its office bearers scheduled to take place at the party headquarters in Parisdanda on December 19.

Office Chief Secretary Shree Ram Dhakal said that the meeting will encompass discussions on the government’s review, progress in the ongoing party transformation campaign, upcoming National Assembly elections, and other pertinent issues.

Dhakal said, “Following a thorough examination of the party’s campaign, we are convening a legislative conference to address critical matters.”

The meeting will also touch upon the formation of a unity coordination committee, aimed at consolidating ties with the Nepal Samajwadi Party led by Dr. Baburam Bhattarai.

Meanwhile, part leader Haribol Gajurel, who tendered his resignation as Prime Minister Dahal’s political advisor, is expected to present his views during this meeting.

While Gajurel cited political issues as the reason for his resignation, he has yet to disclose specific details regarding his decision.
