KATHMANDU: The government has increased the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene in Nepal.

The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) announced on Friday that the new prices will come into effect starting Saturday morning.

As per the latest adjustment by NOC, the cost of petrol will see an increase of Rs 4 per liter, while both diesel and kerosene oil will see an uptick of Rs 3 per liter.

However, the price of cooking gas will  not experience a surge  and will be available at the same price as before.

Following the revision, a liter of petrol will now be priced at Rs 183 in Kathmandu.

Correspondingly, the rates for diesel and kerosene will be set at Rs 173 per liter.

These adjustments reflect the changing dynamics in the global petroleum market and are expected to support the sustainability of petroleum supplies within Nepal.
