HoR meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled to convene today, as announced by the Parliament Secretariat.

The meeting is set to commence at 1:00 p.m. and will be held at the Federal Parliament Building, New Baneshwar.

During today’s session, Speaker Devraj Ghimire will address various key matters.

He will begin by reading the correspondence received from the office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers.

Furthermore, in accordance with Rule 215(1) of the Rules of the House of Representatives, 2079, Speaker Ghimire will also announce a vacant seat within the House of Representatives.

This vacancy arises under Clause (f) of Article 89 of the Constitution of Nepal due to the untimely passing of CPN-UML Parliamentary Party Deputy Leader Subash Nemwang, resulting in an open position within the Ilam-2 constituency.
