Nepal bags gold in Youth Table Tennis tournament



KATHMANDU: Nepal won gold in the South Asian Youth Table Tennis Championship on Monday.

According to Team Coach Sanjay Aryal, Nepal won gold in the U-19 boy’s team event.

Nepal won the gold by collecting the most points in the round-robin league in the tournament held in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, India.

4 countries including Nepal competed in that competition. Nepal defeated Bangladesh 3-0 and Maldives 3-2.

Nepal lost 3-1 to Sri Lanka. Sujal Gadal, Vishwa Baniyan, Bishal Gole, and Siddharth Tamang competed from Nepal.

Dharmaman Bajracharya, the first vice president of the All Nepal Table Tennis Association said that this is the biggest-ever event in Table Tennis Nepal won the gold.
