RPP not to take part in vice presidential election



KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has decided not to participate in the vice presidential election.

RPP leader Mohan Shrestha said that a meeting of the party’s central performance committee held on Wednesday decided to remain neutral in the vice-presidential election.

The voting for the election of the Vice President is scheduled to take place on March 17.

Janata Samajbadi Party’s Ram Sahay Yadav, CPN-UML’s Asta Laxmi Shakya and Janamat Party’s Mamata Jha are candidates for the vice-presidential position.

The RPP had also decided to stay neutral in the presidential election held on March 9.
