KARNALI: The Karnali Province Assembly is electing a new Speaker today (Sunday).
The eldest member of the Assembly had earlier fixed the date for electing the Speaker on January 15.
The date was determined as per Rule 7 (1) of Karnali Province Assembly Regulation, 2079.
With the election schedule in place, Province Assembly Secretary Jibraj Budhathoki will initiate the process for the election.
The election will be held on Sunday morning, according to Budhathoki.
