Dr. Koirala firmly commits to ruling alliance

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has expressed unwavering determination to uphold the ruling alliance.

In a morning discussion held at the Prime Minister’s Residence in Baluwatar, he reassured Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba that he is resolute in preventing any weakening of the power coalition, particularly in the context of government formation in Koshi Province.

The three leaders engaged in deliberations addressing issues pertaining to the establishment of the provincial government in Koshi and reinforcing the stability of the central power alliance.

As debates surrounding the UML’s separation from the ruling coalition, beginning with Koshi Province, persist, Prachanda, Deuba, and Koirala have jointly affirmed their dedication to the coalition’s continuity.

In defiance of the ruling coalition’s decision in Koshi, Kedar Karki of the Shekhar party assumed office as the Chief Minister today, enjoying the backing of UML MPs.
