KATHMANDU: The complainants who filed various allegations against the proposed Chief Justice (CJ) Harikrishna Karki have tried to mount pressure on the the Parliamentary Hearing Committee to let them present their cases together.

The Committee is discussing with the complainants today.

The committee has decided to hear Karki on Thursday. The day before that, the complainants have been called to discuss their complaints. 29 complaints have been filed against Karki, who is also the acting Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

The complainants set the proposed CJ Karki’s presence before them for their explanation. However, the parliamentary committee has rejected their request.

Interestingly, many people, including those who have not filed any complaints against Karki, have gathered at the parliamentary committee office.

The hearing committee has allowed only a few complainants to participate in the meeting. Others are protesting by sitting outside the door of the meeting room saying that they should be included in the meeting.
