Nepal can become destination for international films: Vice President Yadav

KATHMANDU: Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav has said that Nepal can become a destination for international film shooting.

The Vice President said that the films don’t merely provide entertainment but also conserve and promote our unique languages, costumes, cultures, and history. “This is the outcome of creative artists’ efforts and dedication.”

Announcing the nomination of five best films amid a program organized by Nepal Film Technician Association (NEFTA) in Kathmandu on Sunday, the Vice President urged the cine artists to work more on Nepal’s publicity as a film shooting destination.

“Natural beauty here lures international filmmakers. We can make Nepal an international-level film shooting destination through our collaboration and unity,” the Vice President added.

“I am pleased to hear and see Nepali movies going global. Promotion is required to remain strong in the international market,” Vice President Yadav shared.

Likewise, the Vice President shared his pleasure to partake in this program of film technicians who have made significant contributions to Nepali cine industry from behind the curtain for six decades.

On the occasion, five outstanding films of the year were announced.
