Vice-presidential candidate Ramsahaya Yadav goes to jail to request Resham Chaudhary for vote

KATHMANDU: Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) vice-presidential candidate Ramsahaya Yadav visited Dillibazar Jail on Tuesday to meet Nagarik Unmukti Party (NUP) leader Resham Chaudhary and request him for vote.

According to JSP leaders, Chaudhary promised to tell his MPs to vote for Yadav.

NUP supported the vice-presidential candidate Mamata Jha. Jha filed candidacy from Janamat Party Nepal. However, after Yadav met Chaudhary, NUP is said to be positive towards JSP candidate.

“We will vote for candidates with the ruling alliance,” NUP chair Ranjita Shrestha said on Tuesday.

Yadav has filed his name as vice-presidential candidate from the ruling alliance.
