PM Dahal assures to successfully repatriate Nepali youths from Russian Army
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has stated that the government is making efforts to bring back Nepali youths who have joined the Russian Army. Addressing the 29th Convocation Ceremony of Kathmandu University held in Dhulikhel on Wednesday, the Prime Minister expressed the government’s commitment to repatriate the Nepalis in Russian Army.
Coalition parties present 53 recommendations to govt
The parties within the ruling coalition have presented 53 suggestions to the coalition government led by CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
On behalf of the ruling coalition, Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav forwarded 53 recommendations to the government.
The meeting of the four-party ruling coalition, which included the Prime Minister, had entrusted Yadav with the responsibility of preparing suggestions for governance reforms.

Dr. Shekhar Koirala, a prominent leader of the Nepali Congress (NC), has advised fellow party leaders against speculating about the relationship between him and General Secretary Gagan Thapa. Addressing a gathering of the party’s alternate group in Battisputali, Dr. Koirala emphasized that there were no disagreements between himself and Thapa. He urged fellow leaders not to engage in speculative discussions regarding their relationship.
One dies in police firing in Bara
One person has died in Simraungadh, Bara when the police opened fire. The police opened fire when there was a clash with the protestors at the Simraungadh Municipality office. Simraungarh Municipality ward no. 1 Lakshmi Mukhia, 25-year-old son of Lakhindra Mukhia, resident of Namsangradhat, was taken to Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital for treatment. Later, doctors declared him dead, police said.
32 including Immigration Officer and NAC officials arrested in ‘human trafficking’ allegations
Thirty two people including the employees from the Department of Immigration (DOI) and Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), engaged in the illicit business of human trafficking have been nabbed so far. SSP Somendra Singh Rathore, the chief of the Metropolitan Crime Division, disclosed at the press conference that there have been a surge of human trafficking cases under the guise of foreign employment of late. This involves trafficking for fraud, sexual exploitation, organ harvesting, childbearing for rent, and forced labor.
Economic revival in progress: Finance Minister Mahat
Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has expressed confidence in the ongoing revival of the national economy, attributing the positive momentum to the government’s persistent efforts. Speaking at a media interaction in the Ministry of Finance today, Minister Mahat highlighted the encouraging results of economic reform programs embedded in this fiscal year’s annual policies, budget, and monetary policy.
Pandey appointed acting secretary general of federal parliament
In response to the resignation of Bharat Raj Gautam, the former secretary general of the parliament, Padma Prasad Pandey, currently serving as the secretary of the House of Representatives (HoR), has been appointed as the acting secretary general of the federal parliament secretariat.
