60 kg Gold Smuggling Case: CIB submits report to District Public Prosecutor’s Office
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has advised against pursuing legal action against six individuals allegedly involved in the 60 kg gold smuggling case. The CIB submitted a comprehensive report to the Kathmandu Public Prosecutor’s Office, on Wednesday, recommending that six defendants not be prosecuted. Sources within the CIB disclosed that this recommendation was based on their assessment of the case.

CIB reveals additional 302 kg gold was smuggled into Nepal prior to 60 kg gold smuggling episode
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has said that the smuggling of additional 302 kg of gold concealed within brake shoes was brought into Nepal prior to the latest gold smuggling episode. While the investigation continues to scrutinize gold hidden in various other commodities, the CIB, which initially probed the smuggling of over 60 kg of gold, is set to submit its report to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Kathmandu today.

Bill to amend and integrate laws relating to education registered in HoR
After a long wait, the Government of Nepal has registered the Bill to amend and integrate laws related to education in the House of Representatives today. After the passage from the Council of Ministers, the Bill has been registered for the proper management of schools after formulating the national standards for the establishment and operations of schools. After the registration, the Bill will be put on the website of the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
Police arrest 8 people, including the brother of Dharan’s Deputy Mayor
Police apprehended eight individuals, among them Bishnu Begha, who happens to be the brother of Dharan’s Deputy Mayor, Aindra Bikram Begha. Bishnu Begha faces allegations of assaulting Sandesh Rai from Dharan Suryabasti. Dharan’s Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Navaraj Malla, has disclosed that Bishnu was detained as part of an ongoing investigation into a violent altercation that transpired in Dharan on Tuesday.
Health Minister encourages citizens to dedicate regular time to physical exercise
Minister for Health and Population, Mohan Bahadur Basnet, has urged citizens to dedicate an hour each day to engage in physical exercise. Health Minister Basnet said,” Regular physical exercise is essential for maintaining sound health.” He added that the practice could prevent the issues of chronic health issues, promoting the mental well-being as well.
