People with integrity can only maintain good governance: NC leader Koirala

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Shashanka Koirala said people with integrity could only maintain good governance in the country.

The country will get good governance when virtuous persons reach the executive position, he said.

“Lately, efforts are being made to present innocent people as guilty by twisting laws,” he said.

Similarly, former Chief Secretary Leelamani Paudyal commented that people’s faith in public administration was eroding of late.

“Corruption is a hindrance of good governance. Good governance cannot be maintained in the country until the end of corruption. High-ranking people should work to maintain good governance.”
