Seven Nepali youth honored with ‘Dadasaheb Phalke Television Award’ in Mumbai



KATHMANDU: Seven Nepali youths have been honored with the ‘Dadasaheb Phalke Television Award 2023’ in Mumbai, India.

Among those honored under the foreign category of the award are Saroj Ojha, the host, and director of the program ‘Sachetna’ broadcast on Nepal Television, artist Neetu Koirala, singer Binod Dhakal, artist and actor Rajendra Prasad Ojha, beautician Sushila Thapa, event director Amit Shah and campaigner Krishna Prasad Devkota.

Actress Shweta Tiwari, actress and model Rani Ray, model Ritu Sharma, fashion designer Ragini K Singh, Monika Bhadoria, social activist Belinda Perera, Ashok Prasad Abhishek, Aditya Khurana, Ramandeep Kaur, Hiten Tejwani, Manya Singh, Niharika Razdan, Madalsa at the event held in Mumbai. Sharma, Liza Singh, and Twinkle Vashisht were awarded.

The award ceremony was organized by Filmora Media.

On behalf of Nepal, Akhilesh Singh, the founder and Chairman of the Dadasaheb Phalke Television Award, was given a token of love marked with the flags of Nepal and India.

Singh shared that he is in discussions to host the next edition of the Dadasaheb Phalke Television Awards in Nepal.
