Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has stressed the need for all to honor the Nepal-India border.

Water supply from Melamchi to be stopped for maintenance

Water supply from Melamchi will be stopped for some time from coming May 15 for regular maintenance work.

Senior Division Engineer of Melamchi Water Supply Project, Padma Bahadur Kunwar, shared that the water supply will be stopped for two weeks as some equipment needs to be installed and maintained at the source and headworks of the project located at Helambu-1.

Second Int’l Buddhist Travel Mart-2023 concludes issuing a seven-point declaration

The Second International Buddhist Travel Mart-2023 has concluded in Lumbini by issuing a seven-point declaration.

The declaration stressed the need for promoting and expanding connectivity through the Gautam Buddha International Airport and the Pokhara International Airport, and for expanding the Buddha Circuit in four sacred places, Lumbini, Bodhgaya, Sharnath and Kushinagar.

Govt for integrated monsoon preparedness, response action plan

The government bodies have decided to advance the integrated monsoon preparedness and response action plan in order to minimize the loss of lives and properties this monsoon.

The government has authorized the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority to prepare for it.

According to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) sources, Nepal is going to host the T20 World Cup Asia Qualifying Tournament to be held in America and West Indies in the coming year 2024.

Nepal sees 37 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours, active cases 126

Nepal recorded a total of 37 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 11 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 26 through Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 2,414 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

PM Dahal assures impartial investigation into fake Bhutanese refugee scam

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has pledged to bring anyone involved in the fake Bhutanese refugee scandal to justice.

Receiving the memo submitted by the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) in the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers today, PM Dahal asserted that the government was clear that the guilty must not be spared while the innocent ones should not be prosecuted in the scam.
